NUHOMS® AHSM
This is the only general license high seismic overpack in the industry. The module incorporates specially designed features to allow the system to withstand a massive seismic event with 1.5g horizontal acceleration. The AHSM also incorporates increased shielding allowing the flexibility of placing an ISFSI in close proximity to occupied buildings. The modules are erected in customized arrays to suit utility needs. Each array consists of several base units and is completed by additional shield walls at the ends. The horizontal orientation of the modules allows for simple loaded and unloading using either the NUHOMS® Transfer or Transportation casks. The advanced module is completely compatible with the full line of NUHOMS® canisters, casks and transfer equipment to meet all or our customers' storage needs.
The modules are pre-cast and delivered to site. They are not anchored to the ISFSI pad.
